Random Quotes

"All parts should go together without forcing. You must remember that the parts you are reassembling were disassembled by you. Therefore, if you can't get them together again, there must be a reason. By all means, do not use a hammer."
– IBM Manual, 1925

Welcome to BrandonSpivey.com

As proof that websites and personal ideas constantly evolve, since I "launched" my website, I have decided to start doing remote support from home on nights and weekends.  I can remove viruses and malware, speed up your computer, install printers, or help with many other issues.  Check out the "Remote Support" page and get in touch with me if you need some help!

This website is proof that I will always find some way to waste my time.  In reality, it serves as a testing ground for a few other sites that I put together.  I like to try out new things here first.  There is no reason for it really.

Since you have bothered to keep reading, I guess that I can share a little bit more with you.  My name is Brandon Spivey and I am a Microsoft Certified IT Professional.  I grew up in a small town, attended the same school from K-12.  I moved away to go to college where I majored in changing my major.  You'd think that after 5 years I could have cobbled together something that resembled a degree.

In May of 2010, I went to work for a local college...which I find strange when my previous sentence is taken into account.  Just two short months later, another phenomenal opportunity came my way.  I was offered a position with a Silicon Valley start-up with a government contract in Pensacola, Florida.  The staff of this company reads like a "Who's Who" of the IT community and it was just too good to pass up.

I joined the Army to get away from that small town, only to realize that I missed that small town.  Sure, the Army let me see the world (I can say that without any bit of irony...I saw an awful lot of Europe), but I was ready to come HOME.

I imagine that I will die in this same small town. Not that there is anything wrong with that.  The world moves fast now and people don't have many roots.  I am proud to live in my small town...Foley, Alabama.
